AGS, HHX and Plenum Part

Strength justification of the Air Generation System (AGS) Ram Air Inlet, the Heat Exchanger (HHX) Ram Air Inlet and Outlet structures and the plenum structure. Performed detail stress analysis and sizing for CFRP, metallic and sandwich constructions parts. These included: maximum strain, laminate plain and notched laminate strength analyses, laminate strength analysis at corners, core transverse shear and core crushing strength analyses, shear crimping, wrinkling and intra-cell buckling strength analyses. It also included the strength analysis of all metallic fitting parts, attachments and lugs. Final strength justification reports were prepared for all parts.

Stress analysis and sizing of upper skin panels and stringers made in aluminium alloy 7150-T651 and carbon fibre composite materials.

Stress analysis and sizing of lower skin panels and stringers made in aluminium alloy 2024-T351 and carbon fibre composite materials.
